About this Coffee

Grown on the southern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro under Cordia Africana shade trees, this coffee is the product of volcanic soil, glacier-fed rivers, and a community that cares.

This natural-process lot is dried slowly on raised beds in the sun, rotated and sorted by hand for clarity and consistency. You’ll taste the attention in every sip—bright fruit tones, silky body, and a sweetness that lingers.

But this coffee goes beyond the cup. Kilimanjaro Plantation is Rainforest Alliance certified and invested in long-term sustainability—from retirement plans and medical care for workers to scholarships, HIV education, and community infrastructure. When they say harmony between quality, people, and planet—they mean it.

Process Details:
After harvesting, the cherries are laid on a table and hand-sorted to remove any visible defects. They are then spread in a single layer on raised beds. The cherries dry in the sun for 12-14 days. They are regularly turned to ensure even drying and prevent over-fermentation. The cherries are then hulled and conditioned for 2 weeks before shipment.
