La Concepcion is the first Hondurian coffee we have ever purchased, roasted, and served at Second State Coffee. It comes to us from our new friend, Nelson Raul Amador, and his importing company: De La Finca Coffee Importers. This honey processed coffee is grown at 1,655 masl and a blend of three varieties: Bourbon, Catuai, and Icatu. The coffee is grown by Manuel Pereira in Marcala on his farm, Finca La Concepcion. Alongside his wife, Linda, Pereira began experimenting with honey and natural processing methods in 2015 and this coffee is a result of those experimentations.
