La Yalena is our second offering of the year from our good friends at Cafe Lumbus in Antioquia, Colombia. After arguably the best coffee we've had this year in Ituango, we had to come back to Cafe Lumbus for more and this time we chose La Yalena. What makes this coffee distinct is the processing method. It is a honey processed micro-lot and a perfect representation of the growth and change in the specialty coffee sector of Colombia. If you've ever had our Villa Ines (Colombian natural), you may notice a similar but more subtle mouthfeel and flavors when drinking La Yalena. We expect this coffee to stick around on our shelves until late summer. If you've never had a honey processed coffee before, you have to give this a try!
